Ignite SFX was founded by RTS-nominated Supervisor Frankie Waite to bring a new level of technical precision to the UK and Irish film industry. What began as a career on the front lines of major global productions has evolved into a full-service SFX house and specialist engineering workshop based in Belfast.

We don't just show up on set; we build the solutions that make the scene possible. Our expansion into bespoke engineering and dedicated product lines stems from a simple philosophy: if the industry standard isn't good enough, we’ll manufacture something better. From custom-built mechanical rigs to our own professional-grade consumables, every product we sell is born from 15 years of on-set problem-solving.

Safety, Accessibility & Innovation Frankie’s journey is one of resilience and innovation. As a supervisor living with a disability, he has built Ignite on a foundation of unique perspectives—finding creative, "outside the box" engineering solutions that others might miss. This mindset ensures that every effect we execute is not only spectacular but meticulously planned, rigorously tested, and delivered with the highest safety standards in the business.
